Namibian wildlife in need of care

Expand your horizons and learn new skills in animal care and wildlife research when you join us in Conserving Wildlife in Namibia! This is a volunteering opportunity you don’t want to miss.

  • Preparing food and feeding the wildlife and farm animals
  • Providing enrichment to the animals (in the form of interaction, walks in the bush or implementation of special activities for them)
  • Research which entails the monitoring of free-ranging carnivores in the area and surrounding farms to aid in out role of conserving threatened carnivores by reducing human-wildlife conflict through research, relationship-building, improved livestock protection and cooperation with local farmers to reduce the motivation for persecution of predators
  • Data collection and processing, checking camera traps, game counts
  • Assisting with wildlife capture and release

Help ensure a wild future for cheetahs

Join this ambitious project in South Africa aimed at diversifying the gene pool of one of the planet’s most endangered carnivores!

  • Feeding the cheetahs and other wildlife at the centre
  • Darting of wildlife and possible translocations
  • Tranquilization of a cheetah for health examinations, and possible sampling of blood and tissues for pathology screening
  • Hand rearing of animals (previous hand-reared animals: elephant, white rhino, zebra, small animals)
  • Visit the Kruger National Park
  • Located on a leading Big 5 Private Game Reserve
